Emily – Louisé Varnfield, CEO Of The Beauté Group Featured In Aesthetic Medicine on Aesthetic Technology

5 Minutes With Emily-Louisé

Our founder Emily - Louisé Varnfield recently sat down with Aesthetic Medicine for their “5 Minutes With” feature, sharing her perspective on where aesthetic industry trends are heading and what continues to shape The Beauté Group’s approach to aesthetic technology, beauty and aesthetics training, and clinical technology.

Here are the highlights from that conversation.

Building Better Support

Aesthetic Technology Alone Is Not Enough

Emily-Louisé’s journey into aesthetic technology began with a poor experience as a salon owner, buying a laser machine that arrived with missing parts and no meaningful support behind it.

“I began to think, I am a salon owner. I know what it’s like. How can I make this better in the industry?”

That experience shaped how The Beauté Group operates today. Rather than selling a device and stepping back, the group builds clinic training, marketing and sales support around every bit of technology it brings to market.

“You can’t just have a machine and no training or marketing. Our customers expect a lot, because buying a machine is a big investment for their business and it has to be the right one.”

Evidence Over Hype

Clinical Outcomes Before Trends

Asked how professionals can separate genuine innovation from passing aesthetic industry trends, Emily Louisé was direct: it comes down to clinical outcomes.

“There are a lot of buzzwords in the industry, and a lot of misinformation spread over social media. When we introduce something new, it’s always that clinical side of what is lacking in the market.”

She pointed to a wider pattern she sees across social platforms, where the visual result of a treatment can mask whether it is actually addressing it is actually addressing a client’s underlying skin concern.

“Practitioners are loading so many oils onto the skin for them to get that photo at the end, and their skin looks incredible. But they are not dealing with any of the actual skin concerns."

Looking Ahead

Where AI Skin Scan Technology Fits Into Aesthetics

Looking ahead, Emily-Louisé sees skin longevity as the defining shift in the aesthetic technology industry, moving the focus away from quick fixes towards sustained, long term outcomes..

“Longevity is huge in the industry at the moment. We're looking more at the longevity side of treatments rather than a quick cure. There are lots of longevity destinations where high-net-worth individuals go to spend five or ten thousand pounds, but there's nothing for the average patient.”

Making that kind of care more accessible, alongside personalised support, sits at the heart of everything we do here at The Beauté Group.
